Marne 1918 - Friedensturm recreates the
last large German offensive from May to August 1918, the turning
point when the resumption of mobile warfare put an end to nearly
four years of war of trench stalemate. Having made a breakthrough
on the Chemin des Dames, the Germans were stopped by the French
on the Marne in the neighbourhood of Château-Thierry with
the help of the Americans. The allied counter-offensive that
followed would carry the front back several hundred kilometres
further until November 11th 1918.
